วัตถุประสงค์

ฝึกอบรมแพทย์ออร์โธปิดิกส์สาขา Sport medicine ให้เป็นแพทย์ผู้มีความรู้ความชำนาญในการวินิจฉัยโรค การรักษาทั้งแบบอนุรักษ์นิยม และการผ่าตัดเกี่ยวกับเวชศาสตร์การกีฬา และปลูกฝังให้เป็นแพทย์ที่มีคุณธรรม เสียสละ และมีจิตสาธารณะ โดยหลักสูตรจะครอบคลุมเนื้อหาต่างๆ ดังนี้

1. Common sports injuries 

• Traumatic injuries in sports: concussion, muscle injury, tendon injury, ligament injury, chondral injury, fracture, field-side management of sports injury
• Overuse injuries in sports: tendinopathy, enthesopathy, stress fracture, chondral disorder – Sports-related illness: heat-related illness, cold-related illness, altitude illness
  
  

2. Shoulder problems 

• Traumatic conditions around the shoulder: shoulder dislocation, acromioclavicular joint injury, sternoclavicular joint injury, scapulothoracic dissociation, clavicular fracture, scapular fracture, proximal humerus fracture, rotator cuff injury, glenoid labral injury, biceps injury
• Non-traumatic shoulder problems: shoulder pain, shoulder weakness, shoulder stiffness, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff disorder, disorder of biceps tendon, scapular dyskinesia, osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, synovial disorders, osteonecrosis, nerve entrapment 

3. Elbow problems 

• Traumatic conditions around the elbow: elbow dislocation, elbow instability, fracture around the elbow
• Non-traumatic elbow problems: elbow pain, elbow stiffness, lateral epicondylitis, medial epicondylitis, intra-articular impingement, extra-articular impingement, chondral lesion, osteochondritis dissecans, osteonecrosis, osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, synovial disorders, snapping elbow pain syndrome, elbow pain in overhead athlete, nerve entrapment 
  
  
  

4. Hip problems 

• Traumatic conditions around the hip: hip dislocation, avulsion fracture around the hip, acetabular labral injury, ligamentum teres injury, hip instability
• Non-traumatic hip problems: adductor-related groin pain, iliopsoas-related groin pain, inguinal- related groin pain, pubic-related groin pain, femoroacetabular impingement syndrome, extra-articular impingement, osteoarthritis, synovial disorder, osteonecrosis, septic arthritis, chondral lesion, snapping hip syndrome, piriformis syndrome 
  
  

5. Knee problems 

• Traumatic condition around the knee: knee dislocation, patellar dislocation, fracture around the knee, anterior cruciate ligament injury, posterior cruciate ligament injury, medial collateral ligament injury, lateral collateral ligament injury, meniscus injury, chondral injury, quadriceps tendon injury, patellar tendon injury
• Non-traumatic knee problems: patellofemoral pain syndrome, arthrofibrosis of the knee, osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, synovial disorder, osteochondritis dissecans, osteonecrosis 

หน้าที่รับผิดชอบของแพทย์ประจำบ้านต่อยอด

1. ปฏิบัติงานร่วมในทีม เพื่อให้การรักษาผู้ป่วยของสายชมพู (IPD, OPD, OR)
2. ควบคุมดูแลการติดตามคนไข้นัดผ่าตัด ควบคุมการจัดตาราง OR และดูแลติดต่อเรื่องอุปกรณ์การผ่าตัดกับทางบริษัทเครื่องมือแพทย์ โดยปรึกษากับ Staff สายชมพู
3. ให้คำปรึกษา แก่แพทย์ประจำบ้านสายชมพู ในการดูแลผู้ป่วยทั้งในและนอกเวลาราชการ
4. ให้คำปรึกษา แก่แพทย์ประจำบ้านสายชมพู ในการดูแลผู้ป่วย ในการอยู่เวรสาย
5. รับปรึกษาเกี่ยวกับ Sport medicine cases นอกเวลา และวางแผนการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยกับ staff
6. รับผิดชอบดูแลการเก็บข้อมูลผู้ป่วยเพื่องานวิจัย ตามที่ได้รับมอบหมาย
7. รับผิดชอบ ควบคุมและจัดตาราง Activity Sport club ในวันศุกร์ช่วงบ่าย โดยแบ่งงานตามความเหมาะสม
8. รับผิดดูแลการเก็บข้อมูลผู้ป่วยเพื่องานวิจัย อย่างน้อย 1 เรื่อง ตามที่อนุสาขาเวชศาสตร์การกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทยกำหนด

การปฏิบัติงานในห้องผ่าตัด

• Fellow จะเป็น First priority ในการเข้าช่วยผ่าตัด/ทำการผ่าตัดด้วยตนเอง ในกรณีที่เป็น Specific sport medicine condition (ex. ACL reconstruction, Rotator cuff disease, High tibial osteotomy, Tibial tubercle osteotomy, etc.)
• Fellow จะเป็น second priority ในการเข้าช่วยผ่าตัด ในกรณีที่เป็น Common orthopaedic case หรือเป็น Case ที่ Resident ควรจะต้องเรียนรู้ (ex. Fracture fixation) โดย Fellow จะมีหน้าที่ช่วยผ่าตัด และให้คำแนะนำแก่ Resident
